We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

On Saturday 17 September 2016, a team from Lewis Silkin will be walking up to a marathon distance along the Grand Union Canal.  The full 26-mile journey will stretch from Harefield Hospital in Hillingdon to Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea.  The group will be split into two teams, with one walking the full 26 miles and the other walking the final 10 miles of the route.

The group will raise money for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity. This charity was voted for by staff in memory of our dear colleague, James Levy.  James spent too much of his short life at the Royal Brompton and benefited from the hospital's excellent care. James felt secure and valued, and developed fond relationships with many wonderful nurses and doctors.  Lewis Silkin is now working to support Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals' future work to help them continue to develop innovative treatments and provide patients and families with the level of care and support that meant so much to James.

The Lewis Silkin walkers are: Aisling Dennehy, Alicia Mietus, Daria Evdokimova, David Lawrence, Eamonn Connor, Elizabeth Church, Elyssia White, Emma Langhorn, Fay Copeland, Gavin McNaughton, Harriet Raybould, Ian Jeffery, Jane Bean, Jess Cox, Jo Farmer, Kayleigh Williams, Kelly Pike, Len Goodrich, Li Xiang, Michael Anderson, Michael Burd, Miriam Ismail, Nigel Dewar Gibb, Nikki Mallett, Oliver Fairhurst, Penny Newman, Pindey Singh, Rob Johnson, Sally Lindores, Sam Pennington, Sara Cohen, Shelley Kirk, Shona O'Connell, Simon Entwistle, Sohrab Daneshku, Steve Forster, Tom McEvoy, Tracey Gunner and Zoe Ingenhaag.
