Story

Three friends take on Marriots Way in order to raise funds for Operation Turtle dove!

Lex (me) am leading the charge and decided to help save one of my favourite birds, the turtle dove from impending extinction. I have no experience in cycling, so i'll be the 'underdog' of the group.

Josh is a cycling veteran and will be helping me train for the big day. He'll be the 'wheels' of the group.

John stands at 6'2 and has the endurance of an Ox. He enjoys cycling and is happy to join in to help his buddies. He's the 'steel' of the group.

Turtle doves have been prominent in our culture for quite a while, featuring in famous songs such as the 12 days of christmas and also in Shakespeare's poem The Pheonix and the Turtle. They have declined by 93% since the seventies and may be lost forever unless we act now. Please go to their website and read more here.
