This is our 9 year old daughter Lexi, she has been growing her hair pretty much her whole life, it is her absolute pride and joy. She has refused over and over throughout the years to get her hair cut, only having 2/3 previous hair cuts and only allowing the ends to be trimmed at that. 

Recently Lexi told us she had decided she would like to get her hair cut, but only if she could donate it to the little princesses trust to be made into a wig to help someone less fortunate than her. 

Lexi has previously been moved to tears by the thought of a few cm's being trimmed from her hair but this time, as it's going to a great cause, Lexi has decided to donate 12 inches of her hair! 

We have done our research and found out that it cost the little princesses trust around £550 per wig, to make. Lexi asked if she could fundraise, as well as donate her hair, to help pay for the cost of making her donated hair into a wig.
