In memory of Oscar Airey

Story

Story

This challenge event is in memory of Oscar Airey who served in the Queens Life Guards from 1976 until 1990. Oscar sadly passed away at the age of 60 following a year-long battle with Cancer.

As a former NCO who served in both the armored and cavalry sides of the regiment, Oscar was an extremely fit and active person who's favorite place was Hadrian's Wall.

For that reason a 20 strong band of brothers will walk the 84 mile length of the wall from Newcastle on the east coast to the Solway Firth on the West Coast.

The main aim is to raise monies for the Household Cavalry Regiment's Office and will be used in the following ways -

Support regimental families who may suffer-unforeseen circumstances or fall on hard or difficult times.

To assist in providing day trips or activities for parents and children whilst an absent parent is deployed on operational tours of duty.

To purchase equipment to assist in play activities for children of the regiment.

This is all about giving back which is what Oscar would have wanted, I hope you support this just cause and support our challenge to honour Oscar our brother in arms and one of the most amazing people you would ever meet. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
