Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm about to embark on a 13 mile run / trot / gambol / plod / trudge through Brighton on Sunday. I'm not entirely sure why. 

But I think wine was involved. And turning 40 later this year. The latter is motivating me to do lots during 2018 (the former does the opposite!). As are the two people in the photo at the top of the page.

Frida, as she inspires me to do better, go further, push harder and be a strong female role model. 

My Dad, as he has spent his life tirelessly telling me that I can do anything I put my mind to and has shown me by doing the same himself. His last endeavour saw him climbing Mont Blanc shortly before his 70th birthday.

In December 2016 he suffered a heart attack which we didn't expect him to recover from. Upon leaving the hospital, we were told to stay by the phone. When the call came at 7am the next day, my Mum burst into tears and I took the phone. And a very deep breath. 

And there he was. My Dad. Doing what he does best - cracking on with it. And very much alive.

So on Sunday I plan to do the same. I'm going to crack on with it. And whilst I'm shilly-shallying along the seafront, I'll be thinking of him and thanking my lucky stars that he's still here.

If I can raise a little money for a fabulous charity at the same time, then even better.
