I will be pushing myself for 30km over 30 days in September
to support the Canine Partners #fitfor30challenge.

In March 2018 I was partnered with Nell, my amazing assistance dog from Canine Partners. She has given me a new life by giving me my independence back. She is trained to help me with a wide range of tasks, including picking up dropped items, opening doors, emptying & filling the washing machine, getting me dressed/undressed and raising the alarm in case of emergency. I lost a lot of muscle strength during lockdown. I started going out for small trips without motor assistance on my wheelchair to increase my core strength and mobility. Initially, I could only just do 150-200 metres, but over the last few months I have increased this distance to roughly 1.5km in a trip (on flat even terrain). When I saw the Fit For 30 Challenge from Canine Partners for their 30 year anniversary, I decided to set myself a challenge to support Canine Partners. For this challenge, l will push myself for 30 km over 30 days. This will be tough, but I look forward to testing my limits and sharing my progress with you.
