About me: I am half-Peruvian and travel there each year. I have spent some time in the mountains near Huaraz which is an amazing place. It is very different from my home in Scotland. Life there in the mountains is very tough and some communities do not have access to things that we take for granted, such as electricity, education and medical help.

The charity: The charity that I am supporting (Light Education Development-LED) helps to provide lighting, education and healthcare in some of these remote places. 

My challenge: Over the course of the coming months, I am going to run and hike the same altitude as the highest mountain in Peru: Huascaran. It is 6768m tall so I will be running up my local hill regularly along with climbing some Scottish mountains.

I will update my progress regularly.
