Story
In Washington, DC only 69% of the 2018 cohort graduated high school on time. In many of the neighborhoods Higher Achievement serves that number is much lower. That means that many bright, confident young students are half as likely to graduate high school on time. And it's not because they lack the skills needed, it's because their schools lack the resources to support them.
As a mentor I have witnessed my scholars' excitement for learning reach new levels and I've seen them accomplish incredible feats. Earlier this year, my 8th grade scholar, Chidinma was accepted into Archbishop Carroll High School with a full tuition scholarship. Carroll is one of the top private high schools in the DC area. This is the power of Higher Achievement. When asked what Higher Achievement means to her, Chidinma said "it means never giving up on someone." So I'm asking you to show Higher Achievement scholars that you believe in them by making a donation to support their academic success. Thank you for your support!
