We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer. Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Story

Next year we will be climbing the highest free-standing mountain in the world with 11 of my colleagues for seven days. We are raising money for the haematology and oncology  wards (Giraffe 🦒 and Lion 🦁 )  at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Giraffe and Lion Ward care for children and adolescents  with cancer and blood disorders such as leukaemia, lymphomas and solid tumours. Treatment of cancer can be extremely intensive involving chemotherapy, surgery, immunotherapy, radiotherapy and trials. This often means children and families have to spend weeks or even months at a time on the ward. Therefore the wards become a second home and it is essential that the best facilities and equipment are on hand to ensure we can provide the best environment, care and support to help each individual child and their family.

As a team we aim to raise £50,000 to improve our patients and families quality of life during their time on Giraffe and Lion Ward.

Thank you,

Lily xx
