Linda and June are going on a trip,
Despite Linda's hamstring and June's bad hip,
They're off to Burma - they're full of smiles,
Sleeping in monasteries, walking for miles,
Out in the jungle, among exotic flowers,
Hot and sweaty and missing their showers.

They are raising funds for Friend in Need
Who look after old folk and do good deeds.
They've been training to make their muscles firmer,
So please, support them on this trek in Burma.

Friend in Need is an independent charity which provides services to older adults in the East Barnet area.
The centre offers various activities and interests, including luncheon clubs and trips.
There are other services aimed at enabling those adults to live
independently for as long as possible:
The Good  Neighbourhood scheme provides advice, befriending, gardening and a shopping bus.
Helping Hands, which can arrange pension and prescription collection, and managing documents and bills.
