Story

As you all know, Finn is 14 months old with cystic fibrosis, he has had a tough first year. Cystic fibrosis awareness week is called 65 roses week as that is how kids learn to say cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a life shortening genetic condition that effects Finns lungs and digestive system, Finn was diagnosed when he was 24 days old, he has has 2 pneumonias and a lobe collapse. On a daily basis he takes so much medications, enzymes to digest fat, inhalers, nebulisers and physio twice a day when he is well and more when sick. He always has a smile on his face and gets on with everything. We are so proud of him and what he goes through to keep well. The facilities and specialised units for kids and adults are mainly financially supported from donations and fundraising , there is not enough inpatient rooms for kids and adults with cf. We need better services so the kids with cf will grow into adults with cf. Ireland has the largest incidence of cf but lacks awareness and facilities . Ronan is taking part in an exhibition, 65 rounds with team mates from Ferocity  Tae Kwon Do club Dundalk. It's in the martial arts academy in The ramparts on the 25 th April at 6.00 pm. Ferocity Tae Kwon Do club carrickmacross are doing 6500 kicks for Finn.  All donations go towards cf Ireland. Let's hope he raises more than a bit of bruising. Any donation at all would be fantastic, thank you, love Ronan, Linda Liam and Finn.
