Story
Thank you so much for taking the time to donate through Just Giving to such a worthwhile charity. This is a charity which is very close to our hearts. The Brain Injury Unit is a six bedded unit at the Leicester General Hospital and cares for patients who have suffered from Brain Injury. It is a place of support and inspiration with a dedicated team of professionals.
My husband George spent a considerable amount of time on the Unit and it is only with their support and positive attitude that George is now home. We have included a photo of a wedding we went to recently of two of our closet friends, for you all to see what we've been up to.
A Coffee Morning took place on Thursday 16th September 2010 and was the first of a series of events to raise money for the Brain Injury Unit.We would like to thank you all for your support in reaching our first target of £250.
The jewellery afternoon/evening full of drinks, nibbles and jewels took place on Saturday 23rd October 2010 and was hosted by my sister Lara. It was a great success and we have nearly reached our target of £500, thank you to all of those who supported us. I would like to take this time to thank my Mum and sister Lara for arranging all the past fund raising events for the Brain Injury Unit and for all those to come. Although these would not be possible without the continued support from you all so thank you very much.
