The charity was set up in memory of Evie Johnston. We are based in Cumbria and support the community nursing team, our local hospital and the intensive care ward at the RVI in Newcastle, aiming to make families and poorly children's stays in hospital more bearable. For more info see our website.

Story

Kirsty and I are going to walk the Lakeland 3 Peaks (Scafell Pike, Helvellyn and Skiddaw) to raise money for Team Evie. Team Evie is a local charity and one that helps to support the Children’s Ward at the Cumberland Infirmary on a regular basis. As a staff nurse on the ward I have experienced the amazing things that Team Evie do for local children and their families; they have totally revamped our parents room providing a lovely, calming space for parents when they need a little downtime or are waiting for their child to come back from theatre, supplied a library for children of all ages to access during their time as an inpatient and done so much more and now we’d like to give something back! We’ll be aiming to complete the 3 peaks within 16 hours and have pledged to raise £200 each - we would be so so grateful for any donation big or small, thank you.
