Martin House Children's Hospice provides vital care to help children and young people with a life-limiting condition, along with their families, to live well and fully, offering the best possible end of life care and support to the family in bereavement.

Story

I have decided to walk the three peaks in Yorkshire with friends to raise funds for this special place...martin house...but also to continue Evies memory through further awareness of the rare metabolic condition she suffered from called peroxisomal Biogenesis disorder or Zellweger syndrome.

My niece Evie sadly passed away in April 2016 aged just two and a half.  My sister Emily and brother in law Paul received some very special care when they moved to York from Martin House Hospice. This is a very happy environment for children with all kinds of life limiting illnesses. The staff are incredible and help care for not only the child but the whole family. They helped my sister with respite at home and after Evie died they continued the care until this day. They are a special place and completely charity run.
