Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide exists to meet the needs and break the isolation of those impacted by a suicide loss. We provide a safe and confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, so that no one bereaved by suicide has to face their loss alone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Lisa Vint

I have left this page open as I undertake many trials and tribulations in Peter Vint's memory.

I initially set this page up in memory of Peter Vint my beloved for over 33 years and Hayley's uncle. Our world was turned upside down on 26th April 2017 after he died through suicide without warning or any indication. This has left us totally shocked and the life that I once knew gone forever. SOBS is helping me through this process and is a very important charity who can offer support to those who feel totally lost and alone. No matter how long the journey will take they will be there to guide and support you through.

It was Hayley's idea to run in Peter's memory as those that know him, know his second home was David Lloyd gym. Plus he has run the 10K, half marathon and 25th anniversary London marathon. He favoured the free weights more now, but we wouldn't be much good there.

I started off small; So rather than the giddie heights of a marathon I started with the Santa dash 2017 .... To see where that lead too. Following this I have taken part in the Wirral coastal walk 15 miles and the colour rush 2018.  I have also taken part in reaching the summit of Snowdon Nov 18 and will again undertake the Santa Dash.   The list can be endless and I will keep adding on, so onwards and forwards.

Some of my challenges for 2020 in Peter Vint’s memory included a lot of walks, Yorkshire three peaks, Wirral Coastal walk, Abseiling the Anglican Cathedral, trekking the Himalayas and the Santa dash .... some unfortunately where put on hold due to COVID and some where completed - see list below 👊. Next on my list for 2021 / 2022 abseiling the Anglican Cathedral, the Rona Project With the Flourish&Succeed Men’s Hive Group,  trekking the Inca trail and base camp Mount Everest  ( and the training for it ) also Ben Nevis to complete my 3 national peaks. Chilly dipping and wild swimming ……… in addition Peter’s name has been added to several Launch a Memory RNLI Shannon class lifeboats and will continue to do so..

The abseiling down the Anglican cathedral will be completed on the 10th July with my partner in crime Jayne Beattie….. watch this space or more so my social media

I have taken part in the Santa Dash 2017, Wirral coastal walk 2018 / 2019, Colour rush 2018, reach the summit of Snowdon Nov 18 and the Santa Dash.  Completed the Yorkshire three peaks including Park Fell and Simon Fell.  Also Scafell Pike and more recently Helvellyn over striding ridge  Many various walks including Crosby to Southport 21 miles.  Cheshire Cat to Eccleston and back 13 miles.  The list will be endless and I will add as I complete each adventure.  This page is also to allow family and friends to donate on occasions throughout the year, such as his birthday, the anniversary of his death, Christmas, any time really.  So please donate as no matter how small it makes a difference, especially with gift aid. Big hugs and thank you.
