Story
I am taking part in the 5x50 Challenge, a challenge to run/jog/walk 5km every single day for 50 days in a row - no breaks! Some people are also including 30 minutes of equivalent exercise, but I'm sticking to running.
The challenge started on Sunday 30th March and will run (haha) until Sunday 18th May. 5km (just over 3 miles) might not be a huge distance, but the real challenge is to keep going - Every. Single. Day. Regardless of whatever else is going on in my life!! I will be blogging about my experiences to try and stay motivated, and taking sweaty pictures to prove that I did it! My chosen charity is Macmillan Cancer Support - this is a fantastic charity that provides practical, financial and emotional support for families affected by cancer, and is one that my own family are very grateful to after losing my dad Pete to cancer 10 years ago.
I'm not going to ask anyone for sponsorship because I know how much people get pestered to donate money. Instead, I am personally donating £1 for every run I complete on this challenge. Hopefully by the end I will have raised £50, plus gift aid. Of course, if you would like to help bump up my fundraising total, then you are more than welcome to donate :-)
