Just a final note of thanks once again for all your support. The swim went well. We made it round in about 45 minutes which we were happy with. I've put together some video footage of the day and added a few more pictures. Enjoy and thanks again.

Well today is the day! Feeling a little nervous now. Thank God for the weather and thank you for the amazing amount of support you have shown. Over £1300 raised so far. Thank you. That is one way of making sure I don't chicken out.
I'll get some pics on here later on for those who can not make it down; It does sound like there will be loads of you there though.

In count down mode now - 4.5 days....
After discovering that the race would be cancelled or shortened should the water temperature be too cold, and hence feeling much better about the whole thing, the weather picked up - so no escape - we are in the Thames on Saturday!
Our swim time is 1.30pm (Green hats – I’m 4926). We have to be on the start line/aclimatisation zone (!!) from about 1pm. Nearest station is Custom House on the DLR. We’d love to see you if you can make it but if you can’t - don’t worry - there is still time to sponsor!

Thanks to those who have sponsored me and to those that haven't - it is only three weeks away - hurry up!!
You'll be glad to hear that after 4 months of training - this week I worked out my breathing and what front crawl was all about. What a relief - possibilities of embarrasment - slightly reduced.
Swimming in Tooting Lido, in the rain, has certainly made things a bit more real. I am hoping the shivering will subside and not interfere with the new found breathing technique.
There is a real chance Clare will have their baby the weekend of the swim - fingers and legs crossed baby Kenny holds out until the 27th of May or later.
Will take more pics this weekend to keep you amused.
