Story

Ten years ago in Preston Park, Instructor Little Dave slipped into his British Military Fitness Uniform for the very first time, it's time to celebrate TEN YEARS with a day of everything that makes BMF Brighton the best way to get hot, wet and dirty...

There will be five challenges run throughout the day and YOU and your friends, family, next door neighbour are all most welcome to join Dave (and the other hoofin BMF instructors) to take part in as many (or few) events as you wish.  Events are detailed at https://www.facebook.com/events/605617886179404/

Dave started instructing at Preston Park when there used to be only two classes a week and has helped BMF Brighton grow to massive empire that it is today and with this in mind it was decided that CHALLENGE ONE would definitely have to be The 3 Parks Challenge. We'll start with a cheeky session at Hove Park before moving on to enjoy a Burpee Session at Preston Park and a Beach Assault Session on Hove Lawns (well obviously not the lawns but the beach!)

Remember the cheeky Happy Mondays session? NO! Not a problem, come and re-live the joys of the Madchester scene with Dave's cheeky STEP ON - STEP OFF CHALLENGE

On returning from Afghanistan in 2008 Dave decided to thank all the BMFers who had constantly sent him parcels with a new BMF event and the BMF BRIGHTON RUN SPECIAL was created. CHALLENGE THREE is a muddy fun run with one of the best descents in the local area, come and enjoy the thrill of going down. A fun run for all abilities with more smiles than miles (so basically at least 6 smiles)

Dave spent some time last year working with the National Trust refurbishing the orienteering course at Devils Dyke and CHALLENGE FOUR is not just about how fast you can run but can you run quickly to the right location. Come and join us for the "Where the Devil are you" challenge, courses created by Dave for all abilities.

The final physical challenge of the day will be a hoofin night run, imagine the fun of running, then double it and add some more fun and you are nowhere near the enjoyment of running around in the dark, we'll be setting off from the Shepherd & Dog pub and will take in a route around the Devils Dyke including the stairway to heaven, Fulking Descent and the Valley of Doom. More an adventure than a run but again is for all abilities

Finally why not come and enjoy the delights of a proper pub where Dave will discuss the merits of Devils Dyke Porter, a few drinks at the Shepherd & Dog, meet in the pub after the night run

Timetable:
08:00 The 3 Parks Challenge. Meet at Hove Park.
12:00 Step On - Step Off. Meet at the top of Wilsons Ave
14:00 Going Down! Mud Run Special. Meet at London Road Pyecombe, near the Plough Inn
16:00 Where the Devil are you Challenge. Meet at Devils Dyke top car park
19:00 Night RUN. Meet on Edburton Road near the Shepherd & Dog pub
21:00 Devils Dyke Porter taster. Meet in the Shepherd & Dog Pub

All the events are free and for all abilities and you are most welcome to bring along anyone. The Instructors have all agreed to give up their time for the day to help Dave create an awesome event. Dave will be accepting any spare change/hard cash on the day which will all be donated to the British Limbless Ex Service Mans Association, BLESMA, a charity which is very close to all of your BMF Instructors
