3 is a magic number...

3 bikes 3 peaks 3 days - Finding the limit... · 5 July 2014
I will be embarking upon a series of physically demanding challenges to raise awareness and funding for two great charities that mean a lot to me; Disability Sports Wales and Engineers For Overseas Development.
Over a 9 day period I will be:
1) Competing in my first half iron-man event
2) Attempting the 3 peaks challenge but by cycling from peak to peak!
3) Cycling the length of Wales from Conway back to Cardiff
First of all why am I doing this?….. those who know me will know that sport is a huge part of my life which I could not live without. For many people participating in sport is not that simple – I would like to support as many people as possible to take up sport and remove any barriers that may be in their way. This is a great charity with the aim of developing community based sporting and recreational opportunities for disabled people throughout Wales.

Challenge 2) 3 bikes 3 peaks 3 days - I will join a team of 3 where our plan is to complete the three peaks challenge, but over a 72 hour period and to cycle the distance in between. This will see us cover around 450 miles by bike with about 6000m of ascent and with circa 26 miles of off-road walking to summit the mountains. https://www.justgiving.com/3peaks3bikes3days/
Challenge 3) Join the EFOD annual ride from Conwy back to Cardiff, only a further 200 miles over 2 days. Details of this event can be found here: http://www.justgiving.com/efod2014
