The Samaritan’s Vision is that fewer people die by suicide. They work to achieve this Vision by making it their Mission to alleviate emotional distress and reduce the incidence of suicidal feelings and suicidal behaviour. Their Volunteers are available 24 hours a day through 201 branches across the UK and the ROI.

I'm running to raise money for the Medway Samaritans, a Charity with whom my Dad has volunteered for a number of years now. The Branch is totally self-funded, and with running costs of around £28,000 per year, it is always in need of financial support in order to continue the work they have done for the last 48 years.
