Why are we doing this? Not for our love of heights and adrenalin sports that’s for sure!
We want to raise money for St Mary’s hospital in Manchester towards a new counselling service for parents who have difficult pregnancies, whose babies are born poorly and for those whose babies sadly don’t survive.
This is very close to both our hearts: we have a special friendship created through the shared tragedy of both losing our beautiful baby girls, Chloe and Isla, after stays at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Mary’s hospital. We have both benefited immensely from the support services they have provided to us and now we have a chance to ensure that the service can continue and benefit other families like ours. The service is totally invaluable, giving people instant support at what can only be described as the most heartbreaking and difficult time of their lives.
And we will be doing this in honour of Isla and Chloe’s short but very precious lives. It is good to do something like this to be able to hear their names used and to keep the memory of them alive.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
