In January I donated my kidney to my nephew Philip who has Alport's syndrome where his kidney failed at age 7. This is is second transplant. Philip and his family have been supported for many years by the Guy's and St Thomas' Kidney Patients' Association, and I am running 2 half marathons 2 weeks apart in Bristol and Bournemouth to raise awareness of live kidney donation, and to support this fantastic charity.
