Story

In the early hours of the 14th January, my incredible father passed away after a short spell in hospital. I can't even start to express how both myself and Mum feel right now to have lost such a special, kind, caring, loving, accepting and funny person from our lives.
Dad spent most of his working career in the merchant navy, joining Cunard Line as a Cadet at the age of 18 and working his way up the ranks to Captain. He had the honour of being the 25th Captain of the QE2, and also served time on other ships within the Cunard, Princess Cruises, and P&O Cruises Fleets. He retired in 2012, and was always busy with Fishing, Bowls, our dog Ash, and racing his collection of 1m remote controlled sailing yachts around the country.
We're so lucky that we were able to spend Christmas as a family, and we had such a wonderful time together. Something we'll never forget.
My love for my Dad will always be more than a memory to me, without him I wouldn't be the person I am today.
