We rescue and rehome Springer Spaniels to improve the lives of Scottish Springers

Story

Loki is a 7mth old Springer Spaniel who came into rescue with a fractured elbow. CT scans showed that the fracture was very bad and that he also had major instability in his right elbow which required a screw to be inserted to stop it fracturing. The orthopaedic surgeon felt that given complications with the fracture that Loki would stand a better chance if the fractured leg was amputated so this is what happened.

Loki is a young, happy boy and a pleasure to be caring for. He's on crate rest to recover and once he's strong enough and his stitches are out we will also be attending a veterinary physio to give him the best chance of a normal happy life.
