Many of you will know of the awful accident of Andrew Wickham (husband, son, father, brother, grandad etc etc) early in 2017.  Most of you will know how his accident shook our family to it’s very core.  Some of you will know how our family loved, supported and encouraged our very very poorly husband/son/father/brother to survive and,  more importantly, fight back from his horrendous ordeal and lead a full and active life.  It was a dark, challenging, unknown journey.  And then Headway joined in.  From the start, they have encouraged, supported, listened, taught and believed in Andrew.  As they do for every single person who needs their help.  Last week, Team Wickham attended a small concert where Andrew (and others of course) performed superbly - every single person having to overcome many obstacles to do so.  Team Wickham was prouder than proud that day!

His continuing recovery, his determination and that of others is due, in no small part, to the work of Headway Salisbury.  They are amazing, patient and there for every single person who walks through their door.

Our thanks aren’t enough - they need financial support.  So, half of Team Wickham are fund raising in October (the others will do January hopefully).  

Lola is giving up alcohol for a month, Mandy is giving up chocolate for a month and our wonderful, amazing, 82 year old team leader Mum is vowing to be in bed by 11 pm each night. Given that 1 am is not unusual for her, I’d say she has the hardest challenge.
