Story
I was selected as 1 of 9 Girlguides across the country to go on an international Guiding trip to Fiji in the summer of 2017. There, we will be helping the local community and the disadvantaged children of Yako village and Nadi town, as well as exploring the island and it's incredible sights. Despite being famous for it's beautiful beaches, Fiji has recently suffered from serious earthquakes as well as there being lots of people struggling in poverty. The £4500 that I need to raise will help support me through this amazing experience as well as the future of other international guiding trips. To help raise this money, I have set up a 'Pop-up Poundshop' which I take to local markets and fayres, as well as breeding and selling hedgehogs and cake stalls at the local church. I would be extremely greatful for any donations made and thank you to the Loughton Freemansonry lodge for their generous donation.
