Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Lorraine was a true fighter and inspiration to us all, having overcome many obstacles in her life: battling cancer as a young teenager, losing her hearing as an adult and battling and surviving Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia more recently. Sadly, Lorraine passed away on Monday 6th April 2020 due to a non-related illness. She will be terribly missed.

This JustGiving page has been set up in honour of Lorraine, with donations going directly to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, a charity that was very close to Lorraine's heart. Through this organisation she was able to meet Bella, a wonderful working dog who became a beloved companion to Lorraine. With the money we raise, we hope many others who are profoundly deaf are able to have a dog that will make a huge difference to their lives and change it for the better.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
