Hi everyone!! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am doing the fun run of the Belfast Marathon with my sister and a group of friends on May 3rd 2010. I am currently having treatment for Breast Cancer and am eagerly looking forward to finishing my treatment at the end of May 2010. Yippee!!

 

By taking part in the Belfast Marathon i hope to raise awareness of Breast Cancer especially among young women as i was diagnosed at the age of 35. Though it is critical that women of all ages have an awareness of Breast Cancer as it is the most common form of cancer in woman locally.

Pretty n Pink is the only local Breast Cancer Charity, all monies raised provide help and support to local women with Breast Cancer. Among other things money raised has been used to provide special days for affected women and their loved ones to spend quality time with one-another and forget about Cancer, its treatments and all the emotional, physical and psychosocial issues and difficulties that surround life threatening illness.
