Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice - Night to Remember Eastbourne 2010 · 3 July 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My friend Laura & I are taking part in " Night to remember ". It's a 10 mile midnight walk in aid of The Chestnut Tree House.
Chestnut Tree House is the only children’s hospice in Sussex. Based in Arundel, they care for local children and young people from birth to 19 years of age, with progressive life-limiting illnesses such as Muscular Dystrophy and Cystic Fibrosis. Caring for a sick child can raise all sorts of practical, physical and emotional issues, which affect not only the child, but their loved ones too. Therefore Chestnut Tree House provides care for the whole family, offering practical and emotional support, as well as dedicated care.
It costs approximately £2 million per year to provide their service, and children and their families are never charged for their care. The hospice receives very little government funding ( 10% of what's needed ) and therefore they rely almost entirely on the generosity, help and support of the public and fundraising events such as ‘Night to Remember’. Thank you, please donate, no matter how little.
