Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Story

My story  On the 27th September 2004  Lou & Paul Woodbridge suffered a loss that no parents should have to. Betsey and William, their 2 year old twins were killled in a tragic accident at their home.  The Child Bereavement Charity have supported Lou & Paul through the dark days, months and years since they lost their children.

The Child Bereavement Charity supports families and educates professionals both when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child faces bereavement. They believe all families should have the support they need to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

In return for their support, Lou & Paul have tirelessly raised funds for such a worthwhile charity.  This year William and Betsy would have turned 10 and so in memory of them 24 of us are cycling 178 miles from London to Paris. We will be cycling over 3 days.

So please donate geneously and help us raise HUGE amounts of money.

Thank you so much.

Our story

Our London to Paris cycling challenge will see us cycling 178miles (286kms) over 3 days and through 2 countries.

Our  expedition begins in bustling London city at Crystal Palace.  We will then navigate our way through England’s capital and out into the leafy suburbs. We will head towards Godstone and then off on relatively traffic free roads to Newhaven.

We then cross by ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe where we can rest after a long day and a great cycling experience.

Our  second day is slightly less arduous cycling through the beautiful French countryside.

The penultimate day of our challenge pushes our stamina with 68miles  (110kms) of cycling to the French capital and to the Trocadero gardens, opposite the Eiffel Tower for the best view of Paris’ iconic landmark. It is here we can then celebrate in style with a glass of champagne overlooking  the magnificent Seine from the Trocadero Gardens. We will then return home the following afternoon with some well earned comfort on the Eurostar.
