Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So why do this??
I have worked at Swindon Audiology department for 18 years. Over that time I have seen many of of our patients grow from young children into kind caring adults. They have achieved amazing goals in their lives thanks to the on going support to them and their families from the DCS.
In the Audiology Department at Swindon Great Western Hospital we manage hearing losses and their associated social, personal and educational issues. The DCS greatly enhances our department and our patients by providing a support network for individuals and their families. They also help maintain and expand our equipment for paediatric assessment and rehabilitation so that we can provide the best care for every child.
So why do this for the DCS you ask? Well....
The DCS have a great network of families with children who are Deaf or with hearing losses in the Swindon & North Wiltshire area. The charity organises fun events, hold fund raisers whilst offering information and expertise to all those involved in each child's individual support network. They work closely with Audiology and other professional organisations involved in the day to day care of children and work hard to promote deaf awareness.
Just take a look at www.swindonandnorthwiltsdcs.org to see all the amazing support going on in Swindon and North Wiltshire for deaf children and their families.
This will be the last year to do a charity skydive over Swindon! Sadly, Redlands airfield in Wanborough will soon be closing and this amazing bucket list opportunity on our doorstep will be gone.
Thank you so much for your support with this.
