Story
It’s hard to put anyone’s life into a short paragraph, there are so many memories, so many good times and so much love. If you met Louisa, you’d never forget her. She was funny, so funny that we would spend days creased with laughter. She loved dogs, and gardening and most of all, watching her children and grandchildren grow to become the wonderful people they are today. Nothing made her prouder than speaking about what they were up to. Unwaveringly honest, you knew where you stood with her, and her one liners will be passed down through all of us. She created a life filled with love. She was an incredible and amazing wife, mum and grandma, and she will always be in our hearts.
On Thursday 16 July after a long and inspiring fight against cancer, Louisa passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family.
In her final days, the team from Bolton Hospice showed her care, compassion and respect. They listened to and advised us about her care, and took the time to answer any questions we had. They made an incredibly difficult time a little easier. We are so grateful to them.
As a family, we would like to ask anyone who wants to commemorate Louisa’s life to donate to Bolton Hospice in lieu of sending flowers. We know this is what Louisa would have wanted. We want to show our appreciation for their work, so that many more families can also benefit from their services.
Thank you very much.
