Supports veterans of the Falklands Conflict

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are a father and daughter team. My Dad, Graham Adcock, is a Falklands War veteran who during the conflict was a Marine in X-ray Company, 45 Commando Group Royal Marines (45 Cdo Gp RM) who YOMPed the Falklands in 1982 and took part in the battle for Two Sisters. He went on to have a long and distinguished career in the Royal Marines retiring as a Major in 2013.

I, Louise Adcock, am currently serving as a Corporal in the British Army and one of my main ambitions is to have a long, successful career and leave the Service having out ranked my Dad.

We are YOMPing across East Falkland Island, following the route taken by 45 Commando Group Royal Marines during the 1982 Falklands War.
We will travel the 80 miles from Port San Carlos to Port Stanley via Douglas Settlement, Teal Inlet, Mount Kent, Two Sisters and Sapper Hill  to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the battle for the Falklands. We are raising much needed funds for the South Atlantic Medal Association 82 who support veterans of the conflict, in particular the Pilgrimage Project which helps veterans who wouldn't otherwise be able to return to the Islands.
