Starlight Children's Foundation is a fantastic charity that our dad enthusiastically supported.

This national children’s charity is dedicated to brightening the lives of children and teenagers suffering from a serious or terminal illness. They have been working for over 30 years to support sick children and their families because they know the difference happiness and laughter can make during times when it feels like there’s not much to look forward to.

Dad faced difficult times in the latter years of his life but always showed courage and determination never to give up even when it was an uphill struggle. He focused on the activities he could enjoy such as completing Sudoku puzzles, choosing a new family car and collecting watches.

He will also be remembered for his passion for walking in the countryside, driving classic cars and all things to do with aeronautical engineering. In addition he followed the (mis)fortunes of the Scotland Rugby team and Formula One - which you could hear throughout the house as sporting events were always turned up loud!

Dad will be sorely missed x
