Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So for those who know me well...you will know I’m defo no boxer 😂 so this is a real challenge for me and I must say...I’m pretty dam nervous!

But that aside I’m absolutely sick of the suffering that Cancer causes...not just physically but emotionally too!

Too many of my friends and family have been effected.

I unfortunately have recently suffered a big loss to cancer.

My event has unfortunately due to covid moved a couple of times and during training for my last event I lost a massive figure in my life.

My Father in law Dave, he wasn't just a Father in law he was like a second Dad to me and I miss him like you wouldn't believe. He fought to the very end and I never got the chance to tell him how proud I was of him because of covid restrictions in hospitals. It genuinely broke my heart in two.

When I first signed up he was the first to buy a suit and a ticket and tell me how crazy I was, I just cannot believe he won't be there to see me see it through.

It made me realise how quickly life can change.

There are a few more people I would like to mention.

My beautiful friend Stacey, fought and won again breast cancer. Her warmth and positivity has given me so much strength. I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am of her.

Also to honour the great work of my late great Aunt Brenda Dawe, an incredibly inspiring lady who gave so much during her long battle with cancer...her tireless fundraising was so inspiring to me, she always thought about others all the way to the end.

I want to honour all that have to fight against this awful disease.

But this one is for you Dave, I know you're laughing at me right now and shaking your head. That thought keeps me going.
