Story
This year, my family have had a tough year. On the 25th June we lost my Uncle Michael, the family joker. He was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer back in 2018 and was brilliant in how he handled the whole thing. Ever being the optimist, even when he was told he wouldn’t make Christmas this year, he was still planning his 60th for next year. I take a lot of inspiration from his positive attitude. Even in lockdown we were messaging and FaceTimed with my dad and Uncle Stephen and he was still his funny and bubbly self. The last two years, he created some incredible memories, including going to Iceland for Christmas last year and their trip to Centre Parks with the whole family (Auntie Lorraine, three kids, four grandkids!)
In honour of Uncle Michael, I’ll be running the Farnham Pilgrim Half Marathon on the 13th September. I would like to raise £1,000 in his memory to help others affected by Prostate Cancer. Please donate if you can, every little helps as they say.
