When I was a young teenager I was in a violent and abusive relationship where I was repeatedly raped and abused. I was also attacked and raped by two other men after that relationship. 

I'm passionate about helping survivors of rape and I don't believe there is anything like the services available that there needs to be. This is my way of fundraising for the Rape Crisis charity in order to help them help others. 

Rape is a taboo subject and not one that people openly talk about. This makes it even harder for the charity to raise funds. Please consider this when giving and please consider sharing my page too - not only will you be helping raise funds, you'll also be helping to break the taboo. 

Rape culture belittles survivors often suggesting it was their fault or the assault wasn't that serious. The truth is recovery from such an attack takes a long time and a lot of strength. I have good days and bad days. I took to writing about it on one of my in between days so people could read about the reality of the wounds left by such incidents. My hope is that the more people who read it, the more the taboo will be broken and the more chance there is of changing the toxic rape culture that exists today.
