Story

Just in case some of my friends don't actually believe that this is my profile, this is the story all about how I got asked to walk 100 KM from London to Brighton. 100 KM. Otherwise known as 65 MILES. In 30 hours.

A strange bearded man is sat at the breakfast bar in the staffroom, there's yoghurt all over his moustache and crumbs stuck in his beard. He looks up as I walk into the room, unaware of the question he was about to ask...

"Hey,you wanna walk from London to Brighton with me don't you?"

I pause, stationary on the outside to make up for the amount of energy my brain is using as it goes 'Errr...WHAT?...London... Brighton?? How far is that? Don't let on you don't know how far it is...that sounds like it would hurt...How long would it take? He's still got crumbs in his beard!!!'

"Why?" I ask, stalling for time.

"Charity. Because."

Then, my brain stops using energy. In fact, my brain literally stops. And I say...

"Yeah go on then!"

Panic.

I'm undertaking this sheer madness for Cancer Research UK. I didn't tick the box that said 'in memory of someone' because there are lots of people who I know, who have been affected by cancer in some way and I'm sure each one of you is in the same situation. So, we'll be walking  through the night and day, over hill and dale, through rain or shine, through the good times and the delirium to raise whatever we can for Cancer Research Uk. It would really make those blisters a bit less painful if you could give whatever you can!

Up yours to cancer indeed!
