I have chosen AMAZE as the charity that will benefit from my one time, never to be repeated, marathon!

Amaze support children, and their families, who have had a diagnosis of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Imagine being told your child isn't going to ever learn to communicate, have a relationship, get a job or or live independently. This is what hundreds of parents are told each year in Sussex. 

Amaze gives information, advice and support to families of children and young people with a diagnosis of SEND

Amaze are a listening ear, they help with claiming financial support, provide holiday play schemes and give advice on education, health & social care for 0-25 year olds. They put parents in touch with others in their local area who are going through the same struggles.

They also support young people by offering one-to-one peer support.

This is a charity close to my heart, as you know I work in the SEND sector and in fact the company I work for have been financially supporting Amaze in this their 20th anniversary year. I'm hoping to raise £1000 for this fantastic charity.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be my one and only marathon! Everyone has been SO supportive since I took up running 3 years ago - now it is time to put your money where your mouth is! Running has given me so much, now I want to pay that forward and help others. Please give whatever you can, and be assured that I really appreciate it.

Beachy Head isn't a straight forward road marathon it involves some huge hills, 300 steps in one go and the last six miles take you over the Seven Sisters. It isn't going to be easy and it's going to take quite a few hours.
