Most of you who are reading this will not have known Kerry. You missed a treat! She was funny, caring, loving and honest. I met her when she was about 9 years old, and saw her grow into a scatty teenager, a loyal wife, a wonderful mum, and a confident, empowered woman. She was unlucky. She got cancer. But she refused to let it define her life. She lived it to the full. She was inspirational to those of us who watched from the sidelines. She thought of others before herself, and began fundraising to give something back for the care and support she'd received.

 I am lucky. I am fit and and healthy (for an old bird!!)

Now it's my turn to give something back.

I am privileged to know, and have known, many others whose lives have been affected by cancer, or other life limiting diseases, or by disability. They are the reason I try to use my running or cycling challenges to benefit people in very similar circumstances.
