It's been 30 years since my gorgeous Mummy died and 30 years since my abuser came into my life. Eight years of physical, mental and emotional abuse followed. Daily. 

I was manipulated to believe nobody loved me, nobody wanted me. I felt completely powerless and far too afraid to seek help. She told me if I ever told anyone, she'd make the next session 'even worse'. 

Thankfully, I don't live that life now. She is far away from me and I am focussed on giving my two daughters a life filled with love, encouragement and happiness. 

I would like every child to have that. 

Did you know it costs £30,000 a DAY to fund the NSPCC's Childline? A vital service available 24/7 for free, for children who need help, advice, support. I wish I had known to call them. Now I know.
