Lou works as a fetal cardiology nurse specialist at Evelina London and often refers women to the fantastic website and resources produced by the charity: Little Hearts Matter.

Little Hearts Matter is a small national charity that supports families affected by single ventricle heart conditions, or half a working heart. Children born with half a working heart show extraordinary bravery every single day, going through three or more open heart surgeries in the first few years of their lives, then constantly fighting to keep up with their friends and have a ‘normal’ life.

To show our support, and to 'pay it forward', the team (listed above and including Karolina, senior cardiac physiologist within the same department, cousins, partners and in-laws) have chosen to undertake this challenge to help raise money and awareness for this very worthy cause. The challenges these families face cannot be underestimated and the support Little Hearts Matter can provide is invaluable.
