Story

Happy Christmas and Thank You for visiting my page!

Today is Guernsey's 21st annual Boxing Day Dip in aid of The Guernsey Cheshire Home.

The Guernsey Cheshire Home has one aim: to provide care and opportunity for people with serious physical disabilities in as close to a family atmosphere as possible. The home focuses on preservation of dignity and individual independence, and providing residents with the absolute right to live a life of their own choosing within a family environment.  There is no state funding so the home relies on donations to look after its residents.

As you’ll know, I’m not a fan of sharks but I have put this to one side to run into the freeeeezing English Channel, at Cobo Bay, this Boxing Day.

I wasn’t sure if I’d chicken out but I DID IT WOOOOOO - if a few people donate I will release the video footage of this momentous feat ha!

About the charity

We provide residential, day and respite care for people with physical disabilities in as close to a family atmosphere as possible. We focus on what people can do, not what they can't. No direct funding from the States or Leonard Cheshire UK means we need support - £40,000 per month to keep going!!
