We help the hospital offer a better future to seriously ill children across the UK

Story

My 10 year old niece Zoe Lucas has chosen to do something amazing and raise money for my daughter Edith. Edith is currently undergoing treatment at GOSH for a rare brain condition and hopefully one day will be cured (fingers crossed) x

This is from Zoe ... My cousin Edith was diagnosed with 'Vein of Galen Malformation', a rare brain aneurysm. After going into heart failure, she was airlifted to Great Ormond Street hospital at just 10 days old. With only a 50% chance of surviving and 20% with few complications, we are very lucky  they managed to save her life. Vein of Galen malformation effects around 10 babies in the UK every year and can only be treated in GOSH and Glasgow.

We have designed a triathlon to raise money to help fund the hospital continues to care for her. Your money will go towards training paediatric nurses to care for patients with rare illnesses and help fund specialist equipment.

The triathlon involves cycling 2miles from our school in Curry Mallet to my home at Bromes farm, running 1mile from there to my granny's at higher woodlands for a 200m swim. We are only 10 years old.

Please help us raise our target of £1000 and help raise awareness of this rare brain condition. Thank you.
