Louise's 8 Month Charity Challenge 2017 · 13 February 2017

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

I am raising money for the Alzheimer's society by completing an 8 month challenge.

I am Drinking ZERO alcohol in February & March Running 3 half marathons in fancy dress (fancy dress suggestions welcome)

19th March - Wigan Half Marathon - dressed as a Zebra
21st May - Chester Half Marathon 10th September - Great North Run

A very special person in my life suffers from Dementia. They have always been there to raise and support our family. I wanted to support the Alzheimer's Society as they are the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.

They have 3,000 services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland offering information, care and support to people with dementia, their families, friends and carers.

I will be adding monthly training updates to this page with my progress (in the photos section).

My employer Samsung are £ for £ matching donations. If you donate £5 it becomes £10. All donations are very much appreciated no matter how large or small.

In the words of Tesco...every little helps
