The Charity helps to fund a variety of projects to help improve patient care and services including improved facilities for patients and families; innovative technology; and research. It also supports staff with enhanced training to ensure they remain at the centre of clinical developments.

Story

On the 29th of July 2012 Leah Rebekah Davies was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and sadly passed away a week later, at the age of 19, from her injuries on the 5th of August 2012.

Leah's injuries were very extensive and required specialist care. During Leah's time in hospital her family and friends were present everday, but her family in particular benefitted from the facilites for relatives.

Since Leah passed away her family and friends have set up a charity called 'Love Leah' in aid of the Walton Neuroscience Fund, and have so far raised approximately £30,000. Our aim is to be able to contribute to the construction of a new building at the Walton Centre that will house new specialist units and in particular interest to us - Relatives accomodation.

Leah's sisters Sarah and Rachel Davies, along with friends Becky Hargreaves and Chloe Pendlebury have decided to push their selves personally for the charity and each take part in a Tandem Skydive.

We hope you can see how important this Charity is to us all and can dig deep and sponsor us!

Thanks
Chloe, Sarah, Rachel and Becky xx
