Dabirul Islam Chowdhury OBE is raising money for NHS Charities Together

LOVE FOR NHS · 22 June 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

The British Bangladeshi community have in recent weeks grappled
with the trauma that they face the greatest danger of dying from COVID-19 amongst BAME communities.  Despite them making
up the highest number of victims, from 17-year olds to a 100-year-old, the British Bangladeshi community are united to support the NHS.  ‘Love for NHS’ will be a Live TV Fundraising
initiative for the NHS by a British Bangladeshi satellite television station called
Channel S, and will be in aid of NHS Charities Together (NHSCT).  The fundraising appeal will be televised on
Wednesday 12th August from 4pm and has already attracted thousands of audiences.
Community groups, entrepreneurs, professionals across various sectors such as the NHS will participate in the live fundraising programme and discuss various issues of NHS during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Audiences can participate in the live programme and donate directly to NHSCT.

NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients. Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work.
