We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Terry Pratchett described Alzheimer's as 'an embuggerance'. Good word...

It buggers up lives, buggers up families, buggers up brains and buggers up memories. It's like your personality is dissolving away, painfully slowly. You lose recognition of your own family and friends. It can be as bad for them as it is for you.

So Stables, Jade, Benedict and Laura decided to get up off the sofa, put down the pizza, take a stand and say: "ENOUGH! We're going to cure Alzheimer's."

However, Jade tells us that curing a disease, in her experience, is "really really really hard". After an argument about whether we were "made of the right stuff to cure a disease," we gave in. So, we opted for 'plan B': help out the Alzheimer's Society.

Everyone knows someone who knows someone who has Alzheimer's or dementia. So we'd very much like you to think of them, delve deep and sponsor us collectively for running a bloody long way to raise a bit of cash.

We're all running the full distance (well, planning to), none of this half-arsed relay stuff.

Please do put down whatever you can manage. The average donation is about £16.50 so far. Why not help us push that skywards?

If you put down the whole grand we'll all wear your company's choice of fish costume.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
