Event: The Day of the Dog sponsored dog walk, on 30 June 2013
Participants: Doug & Trish Scott & Celia Washington

Story

If you would like to take part in our sponsored dog walk, we suggest a donation of £9* for one dog bringing two people - and a further suggested donation of £5 for each extra dog or person in the group - children under 16 are free. Click here for further details.

Please write the name of your dog and the people he/she is bringing so that we can add you to our the list and tick you off on the day.

*This includes a glass of wine for each person and a Buddhist prayer scarf and a flower garland for your dog and a treat donated by petproject

The money raised will be divided between Doug Scott's Community Action Nepal, Celia Washington's Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre & Jan Salter's Kathmandu Animal Treatment Centre.

A big thank-you to Jim & Vanessa Lowther for generously allowing us to use their beautiful gardens at Lowther Castle for this event.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre's mission is to act as a catalyst for contemporary artists in Nepal and promote their work abroad. In 2010 KCAC established Nepal's first international contemporary arts centre in Patan and began giving scholarships to emerging Nepali artists.
