Dear friends and family,

I am looking forward to seeing you all for my birthday party and feel very fortunate to have so many people coming to celebrate with me (assuming you turn up)! 

To use an old cliché, your presence is my present but nonetheless if you're feeling generous I would very much appreciate it if you could donate anything you might have spent on a present to a far more worthy cause, and one that is very close to our hearts. Any donation to via my JustGiving page would make a big difference to a small charity which does fantastic and extremely important work.
